Obituary

Eric Lafayette Byrom Jr., affectionately known as “Pooh,” was born January 26, 1977, in Steubenville, Ohio, to Eric and Delphine Byrom. He departed from life on June 27, 2021. He attended Steubenville High School and was a member of the football and wrestling team. After graduation in 1995, Eric was employed with the City of Steubenville and Applebee’s for many years.


He was preceded in death by his mother, Delphine Everson, Maternal Grandparents Glenn, and Ruth West, Paternal Grandmother Lenora Byrom, Aunt Gwenita Byrom, Uncles Nathan Everson, and Charles Thompson, God-Brother, Quincy Thompson, and God-Sister Frankie Allen.

 

Eric leaves to cherish his memory a Daughter: Jalen Byrom; Father: Eric Lafayette Byrom Sr. (Bellorh); Grandfather: Lafayette Byrom; two sisters: Delshawn Byrom Owens (Natasha) and Brandi Gilliam,  Aunts: Monica Byrom, Virginia Byrom, Norma McDonald (Larry), Rebecca Lee (Douglas), and Mary Robinson-Huber; Uncles: Philip Walker and Robert Everson; a niece; Chyna Mitchell, nephew Treyvon Walker  Godfather: William Zimmerman Sr, Godmother: Kim Thompson Williams; Godbrother: William Zimmer Jr (Bootsie); God sisters T’Keyah Allen and Marie Nance, Beloved and Loyal friends Paul Edwards (Palo), Richard Bradshaw (Brad), Charles Prentice (Ham), Randy Mitchell, Juan Mitchell, and Paul Dorsey (Peachy); and a host of cousins and friends.


He will be so missed by all he knew and loved him.


Visitation will be on Friday, July 9, 2021, at 11:00 am, with a service starting at 12:00 pm at Vinson Mortuary, 711 North Fifth ST., in Steubenville, OH.
