William Penn Harvey Jr. 84 of Steubenville passed away on Monday, April 26, 2021, at his home in Steubenville, OH surrounded by his family.
He was born October 19, 1936, in Aliquippa, PA. He is the son of the late William Penn Sr. and Maurice Nason Harvey. He was raised by his Aunt and Uncle, whom he affectionately called Momma and Poppa, Daniel Dennis, and Laura Harvey Chapell.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, His wife Wanda Mae Harvey, Ex-Wife Alberta C. Harvey and his younger brother Gerald, Sister and brother-in-law, Laura M. and Edward M. (Eddie) Lansdown, his daughter Connie Jean Harvey, and son Daniel Dennis Harvey.
William Served in the United States Marine Corps Reserves and worked 40 years in the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation in the rigging gang. Then later in his career as a tool man for the rigging gang.
William is survived by his Six Sons Gerald P. Harvey of Salina, KS, Hugh W. Harvey (Tiffany), Anthony T. Harvey, both of Springfield, MO, Shawn L. Harvey, of Steubenville, OH, William P. Harvey III (Cammy), Of Birmingham, AL, and Russell A. Harvey (Charity) of Greencastle, IN, Three sisters Rosella Harvey Burkett of Springfield, MO, Louis Harvey Johnson of Leavenworth KS, and Gardenia Harvey Taylor of Aliquippa PA, Three stepchildren Denzel (Johnny Ray) Ray, Mary Katie Smith (Lewis), both of Steubenville, OH, and Linda (Willie) Clayton of Fairmont WV.30 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, friends, and his church family at Second Baptist Church.
Services being held at the Second Baptist Church, 717 Adams St. Steubenville, Oh., The Rev. Marvin E. Barner Jr. Officiating and the eulogy by The Rev. Maurice Lawson.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 1, 2021, from 12:00 PM with service immediately following at 1:00 PM.
